This old house was the home of my grandfather James Elliott, probably built in the late 1800's. My mother Effie (nee Elliott), her sibilings Samuel, Harold, Elizabeth, Nora Jane, and Hilda were all born and raised there. Another daughter Elsie died at the age of nine. Also my sister Stella and I grew up in that same old house. I can remember the many, many layers of wallpaper that covered those walls. - Sidney (Ted) Mercer
