As can be seen by the following medical history sheet for Thomas Mercer, he underwent his enlistment physical on 28 December 1915 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He received anti-typhoid innoculations on 30 December 1915, and again on 13 January 1916. A later entry shows that he was vaccinated on 15 February 1916. At the time of his enlistment, the medical form shows that he was assigned to the 66th Regiment.
